The majestic yannai (elephant) and the mystical Annapakshi (hamsa) needs no introduction to the saree connoisseur. Gaja/Elephants are a symbol of Royalty, Strength and Wisdom. The Annapakshi's are also associated with knoweldge and wisdom. Earlier known Vedic texts deal with seperating the Soma from a mixture by these birds.
